It was curry that took me out of commission. Which is only right and fitting (and the odds were in it's favor considering how much curry I eat)
Just look after yourself, because you don't want to be like I am today. You just don't. :O

What you DO want to do is be the kind of person who votes in the Second Chance poll: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/996359.html It's closing tonight, which really big stakes. We are losing 1/3 of the field. It's pretty close over there, so I would definitely make sure to get your votes in. One or two could shift the balance and change the outcome!

Also closing tonight is the deadline to get your entries in for the main competition: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/997016.html
There's still quite a few missing, but I'm hoping that's just the last minute crowd doing their usual thing.

How are YOU feeling today?

Working on my entry. It's taking me a bit longer and I'm so glad I have the day off but my day off's been filled with other responsibilities, too...
Wish me luck that I finish in time. ;_;
I've got a chest cold and have completely lost my voice. I've emailed and Google-messaged my boss to please email me because I can't talk. She responded that she would, but continues to only call me and then email me rudely asking why I won't pick up the phone. Bah.
Working on my entry while I work on my job. I'm pretty sure I'll finish by deadline...
I'm trying to write but I feel as though I'm transcribing a drug-induced dream.
Sorry to hear about your guts, G. Food poisoning is the worst! And you ALWAYS know from whence it came. You prolly won't be eating curry for a while...
So sorry you're so sick. Feel better soon wishes sent your way.
Mom has stents in now, and she is in stable condition now, but I was a mess for all of Sunday and a chunk of Monday.
I'm doing pretty well today. I'm glad I was able to get my entry done on Sunday because my husband had yesterday off, so we went to see Get Out (which was really good, and you should check it out if you haven't already), and it also means I can finally go see Beauty and the Beast while my kids are in school today. In non-movie news, I finished reading The Handmaid's Tale yesterday, which I also enjoyed (I've been on a dystopian kick since Trump became president - I also read 1984 and Brave New World this year).
Also my improv stuff is going pretty well. I performed in 3 successful shows this past weekend and have been working on getting them onto YouTube. One of them I was especially excited about because I'm planning on submitting it to a festival soon, and the all female cast I had were all thrilled at the possibility of performing in Hawaii together. Fingers crossed we get accepted and I didn't get their hopes up for nothing. I love this show because I developed the format myself, so it's different than other improv shows you're likely to see in the Bay Area. Then last night I learned that a bunch of people from a newer group auditioned because they wanted to do improv like my main improv group. It feels really awesome to be part of a group that inspires others to get more into improv themselves.

Congrats on all your success! Way to break limbs!
But! On Sunday I was at man friend G's home getting some things he wanted me to have: a never-used slow cooker, and pressure cooker; an easy chair; a table and three chairs; a TV, and DVD player; a snow shovel; and some canned goods from his pantry. While it is hard to see his beloved home being emptied so it can be sold, and I know how hard it is for him, he has been wonderfully generous and kind to me.
Moving furniture takes A Lot out of me. My uncle came over with his PC minus the back seats and he and the pastor were able to get everything packed in it. So yesterday was a sleep-most-of-the-day and rest-when-not-sleeping day.
I'm hoping to post my Idol entry before the deadline. Wishe me luck. (Smile)
Sorry you're sick.
Compared to other people I guess I've had a good day. there was a nap. there was ice cream, so I'll just keep my minor complaints to myself.
Also, I guess I'm joining the chest-cold club, mine started mid-last week and morphed the cough I've had for two months into something much nastier. Luckily I already had a physical scheduled for tomorrow.
I know how you feel, went through the same in January, and it was not even from being careless with refrigerating, just a really bad batch of yoghurt.
I'm good, just tired, it's been a long day.
Post is up and linked, #35 in the comment thread! Phew! :)
I'm feeling much improved after having Type B Flu last week - got off work Thursday and Friday, felt mostly better by Saturday afternoon, and recouped over the weekend. Back at work yesterday. Whee.
Sorry to hear you've been done in by a curry - hope you're feeling better, Gary!
My shoulder has been hurting for over a week now. Not that painful, as I can sleep through it, but it's constant and over-the-counter medications just don't help a damn. I know that I really should see a doctor about it, but every time I try to do that something more important pops up to distract me -- things that involve serious money. For example: I haven't even started filing my tax return for this year, because I was too damned busy filing the paperwork to get the money out of my Health Care Spending Account...
