1) Yep :nodding: I'll always point to whipchick as mastering this where she made it her goal to comment on everyone's entries. She explained how she did it while traveling cross-country/overseas, and to this day I still marvel how she accomplished it. She wanted to do it and succeeded. If you want something badly enough you'll find a way to go after it.

2) I didn't really want to point that out but it's there.

3) It also highlights another issue re #2 as to LJ's present place on the internets. If people aren't *here* on LJ to begin with, then they're not going to read/comment. We as *Idol* can only do so much short of holding those pistols to our heads. If we pull the triggers...well, there (generic) *you* go, literally.

1. Yep, great example. She found the time to do it. Because it was important to her. Was it strategy? Absolutely. But she put a priority on it, and it got done.

2. Yep, and I hate to be "I told (generic "you") so", but yeah, I've been saying it wasn't the numbers... not getting *to everyone* is different. But commenting in general... that's a personal decision that people make. Some weeks are easier than others, and some weeks it's absolutely impossible. But do what you can, if you want other people to follow suit.

3. It's definitely one of "those things" and why I've tried reaching out in various other social media forums. Some folks haven't liked that. But I think they like silence even less. ;)

I don't think things are *dire*, and I also think that expectations - including my own - need to be managed of "numbers aren't going to be as high as they were" with everything that follows. But I hope people manage to take the good and still find something useful in it.

Rebuilding word of mouth is important. I hope people are continuing to let folks know that Idol is here, and what we have to offer.
