Green Room - Week 19 - Day 3

I came up with something to post this morning on Facebook, but I was reluctant, just because I really don't want to filter it, and I know there would be some off-topic nonsense that I don't have the time today to monitor.

But I wanted to share it with someone, so Idol it is:

"I wish I had more time to be supportive of the Trans* community, but I've wasted too much of it looking for the footnote"

Other things I've come up with recently: A list of topic choices: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/921736.html
A work room : http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/921875.html
and a home game: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/922333.html

But I'm OK with sharing those.

What are *you* OK with sharing here, that you might be reluctant to share elsewhere?

Many, many things.

Also first. I never say that elsewhere.

I think I've shared more of myself in many different ways via Idol than I ever have IRL or elsewhere online, my own LJ excepted.

I've noticed a difference now vs. then when I'm playing.

Then: I laid bare my soul, no holds barred. A lot of it was fueled by what was happening IRL...when the IRL stuff started evaporating, I noticed my writing gradually becoming less emotionally charged in that it was still charged, but it wasn't running willy-nilly all over the place.

Now: I still lay bare my soul in some ways but it's nowhere near as emotionally charged. For better or worse I'm more conscious of framing, phrasing, polishing, editing. I don't know if it's a product of Idol-As-It-Is-Now or my own awareness in that should a piece of me-as-Kizzy escape into the world, it can be tied back to RL Me. It's probably a combination of both. I don't like this "consciousness" one bit because it stifles me, which in turn ties into a lot of my own thinky thoughts about me and writing in general.

It's not on FB yet, but my very sick student died just this morning. He's no longer suffering, and he was, but it's sad. I've never lost a current student before.

On the up side my Duzzy1 (daughter), finished exams w flying colors. It's a bittersweet day.
😢 and 😀

I'm so sorry about your student, and the pain that his family, friends, and teachers are going through right now. *hugs*

I am so sorry Even's gone, but what a wonderful blessing he was to so many people. You wrote so lovingly about him and I know that he will be remembered by many whose lives he touched. I am so sorry for your loss, but also a little jealous, because you got to know and share with this remarkable soul.

I am way more open about EVERYTHING on lj than I am almost anywhere else. Only exception is Twitter, and that's lj people only. :)

Earlier this season, I was going to write a long, deep tribute to Prince (when I was still writing about individual artists) and about how he didn't want his music on the Internet... but I ran into a bunch of problems, the main one being the lack of his music on the Internet.

The basic premise was, we lost Bowie but thank God we still have Prince.

This year is the shittiest.

I'd like to motion that we reset 2016 back to the factory settings and try this again. Can I get a second?

I couldn't agree more. Hard reset this year.
