Green Room - Week 36 - Day 7

I could talk about the mid-season premiere of the Walking Dead. Or the premier of Better Call Saul.

Or even that it's only a couple weeks until the new season of Survivor begins.

But instead, I'll just mention that the BattleBots are coming back! http://www.cnet.com/news/ready-for-a-robot-smackdown-battlebots-returns-to-tv/

Robots battling it out - using their weapons against each other - until only one of them emerges victorious.

Hey - that sounds like our poll!

What special weapons are the various Idolbots using this week?

I am SO sick of snow it isn't funny. Had to bang out of work because our street hadn't been plowed since midnight and there was about a foot of both old and new snow at the foot of the driveway. Our housemate cleared it. It now looks like nobody was ever out there. That's how fast it's coming down.

Plus the dogs are hoopy. Hoopy dogs are not a good thing.

Here, has some cookies and a mug o' coffee. Sorry about the snow. We're just getting rain this year. All the snow has moved further north. Can said hoopy dogs go play in the snow? Is there fence around the yard? Although huskies are known escape artists! If they could get out in it perhaps that would settle them some?

Ohhh, cookies! :grabs one:

:hides the rest from Gary:

We had a ton of rain before all this snow started. If spring ever arrives...eek, I'm sort of dreading it because the ground is going to be saturated beyond belief. It's pretty but tedious. Plus it's not doing my arthritic knee and my wrist any good :p

There is 4 FEET of snow in my backyard right now. The dogs only run out there to potty because there's nowhere for them to go! I managed to shovel out the stairway from the deck and clear off the landing. They can somewhat walk on snow because they've got webbed feet, but there's a limit to how much snow they can handle. I'm hoping I can at least walk them around the block after they have breakfast :)

Webby toes! LOL. I remember when I had my Pomeranian, Husky and Lab-mix, one big snow (2 ft) I let them out to do their business. Had a covered back porch so they had some room. Chica (the Pom-pom) decides she's going to check out the snow. Weee-llll she only weighed seven pounds! She was able to just walk on the crusty top and not fall in.

The boys sort of looked at her, looked at each other, and went loping after their sister, only to leap and land chest deep in it. I laughed so hard at her running around them trying to get them to chase her. They looked so embarrassed. :)

I miss these three doofuses. They were the best. <3

LOL, our dogs always did that leapy thing too! Oakley still does it. Max would rather sit at the top of the stairs and contemplate snowflakes. He's so weird but I love him :)

But grats on frist!

I am also excited for BattleBots. Very few shows have induced so many laughs and lip-biting moments.

The latter of which is the primary weapon I am employing right now in the poll.

Battlebots!!! My brats got me into this show, along with Ninja Warrior.

Battlebots is for we nerd-types though. I wonder if LJI could design a good battlebot with all the creative nerdy minds we have here. ;)

1. Ninja Warriorrrr

2. Makoto Nagano is the sexiest competitor forever and ever, amen.

Finally finished polling, phew. We spent the weekend in the Cincinnati area, and saw Jupiter Ascending at the IMAX theatre. It was really good!! We also went to the Ikea store and bought a new bed frame and headboard for our spare room - and bonus, it was being discontinued and was on sale for $30 off!

The Ikea adjustable under-mattress frame-support may have saved my mother's 89-year-old back! Hope you get similarly good results. :D

Yours is the first YAY I've seen for Jupiter. I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo looking forward to it!

I am excited for the March show featuring Mayhem Dean Winters, and afraid it's so far off that I'll forget to record it when it shows up.

I'm happy "The Blacklist" is back, having mixed feelings over "How To Get Away With Murder" (which I only ever watched for Viola Davis, and if her acting weren't so good I would already have jetisoned)... We should really finish the finale of "The Bridge" (on the DVR since October?)

My poll-coping mechanism is nailbiting, while filling out lengthy and carefully-worded diplomatic responses to testers whose defects have been closed because of "user-error." Damn, but these eggshell are thin. :O
