We have been holding on the edge of the Top 50 for long enough, it’s time to take the plunge.
Two contestants missed the deadline, and did not have any remaining byes left in their arsenal. Which, considering that the latest either of them had used one was at Week 6, I’d say holding on for this long was nothing short of impressive.
It would be impressive even if you discounted the quality of writing that they brought to the competition every week - and I wouldn’t do that. Because it was always something awesome.
They will definitely be missed. Leaving us this week (in 51st and 50th place in Season 9 respectively) are
I hope that we will continue to see both of you in the Home Game, and hanging around in the Green Room, when you are able.
As for the rest of you - CONGRATULATIONS!

Take a moment to pat yourselves on the back, jump around, dance… whatever it is that you want to do to celebrate this accomplishment. Maybe go grab a stranger in the street like it was V-E Day!

Of course, there is no rest when it comes to Idol. So we still have a poll to deal with - and more eliminations.
