What is one of the most popular stories on LJ? About how the BBC thought that David Tennant and Benedict Cumberbatch "weren't attractive enough".
You have people pointing fingers all over the place when it comes to the tragedy in California. Because that's what happens after something horrifying. You can't quite wrap your brain around it, so you try to tie it to something already on your agenda. It would be sort of like if I said people were being killed because you weren't sending me cookies.
Someone might look at that and say "That's ridiculous!"
But anyone who knew me would be nodding, because they know that it is true.
(I also cause natural disasters due to lack of cookies. I'm just saying...)
Of course checking Twitter is also how I found out about the death of the great Maya Angelou.
Not really sure what to say about that, other than it's a huge loss.
Going back to the original point though, what is the most outlandish conection you've ever seen someone try to make between "cause and effect" of events?
One thing that *can't* be argued, or overstated, is that the deadline for the topic is tomorrow: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/741490.html So you had better get a move on!
