That is one of the disadvantages of planning these things out months ahead of time, it is a lot easier to forget that life continues to happen.
So my apologies, I will offer a little bit, just not as fully as I had hoped to address them, after all, unlike most "blind polls" this one was against yourself! :D
For those who missed it, the three topics were given out, and then the current contestants, and jury members, were asked to rank from "favorite" to "least favorite" (1-3) each contestant's entries against each other. So, it was a really small sample of audience preference. But one that I think a lot of people will find interesting.
What is going to happen now? I will be posting on that in a few minutes. But let's just say there was at least one person who pretty much could have been looking over my shoulder when they made their guess!!
How did you fare?
alephz: The favorite entry was your "Open Topic", by a pretty respectable margin actually. The least favorite, by as much of a margin (which is how these things work) was your one for "Grip".
amenquohi: You had very tight polling numbers across the board. In the end though, their favorite was your "Grip" entry and the least favorite was for "Turtles All The Way Down".
applespicy: You had two entries that came neck and neck, and one that fell to the wayside as a result. The favorite entry was "Turtles All the Way Down" (by a hair) and the least favorite was "Grip".
comedychick: I was wondering what was going to happen with yours, because there was clearly a divided opinion. But, in the end, the favorite, by a landslide, ended up being your "Open Topic" entry. The least favorite was for "Grip".
java_fiend: One of the tightest races. In came down to a couple votes, and even then they couldn't decide on what the favorite was. It was a tie. The least favorite though ended up being your "Open Topic".
joeymichaels had the same issue, but that very last vote put your "Grip" entry into the favorite spot. The least favorite was by a higher margin for the "Open Topic" piece.
lawchicky: Yet another close one, for all three pieces actually. In the end, the favorite was "Turtles All the Way Down" and the least favorite was "Grip".
mstrobel; It's getting old to say it was close, by you had a tie for the favorite entry. The least favorite entry though had a decent lead in that department, "Turtles All the Way Down".
hosticle_fifer - "Grip" trounced the other two in the favorite category. It wasn't even close. The least favorite ended up being your "Open Topic".
nyxocity: If I were the other two entries, I would consider filing assault and battery charges against your "Open Topic" entry. It pummeled them. The least favorite entry ended up being "Grip".
pixiebelle: You were another one with a fairly tight grouping. People clearly found it difficult to agree on ranking! The favorite, by a hair and a half, was your "Open Topic" piece, the least favorite was, by a fraction of a hir, "Grip".
serpentpixie: Things sorted themselves out in the end by a decent margin, but there were points where you were in the same boat as your fellow pixie. By the time the final tally was made though, "Grip" had a decent lead as favorite and the least favorite was "Turtles All The Way Down".
the_vernacular: Another extremely tight race. But the favorite ended up being "Open Topic" and the least favorite was "Turtles All the Way Down".
theafaye: The top and the bottom literally changed places with the last ballot. That's how close it was! The result though is what matters: the favorite was "Grip" and the least favorite was "Turtles All The Way Down".
vaguelyclear: The top was very close, but ultimately it was won by "Grip". The least favorite was your "Open Topic".
wyliekat: Your top spot suffered the fate of being a tie! The least favorite though the distinction of winning it outright (which is usually what happens when two entries are so close), "Open Topic" took that particular crown.
yachiru: Another one decided by the voters coming in the last few minutes. The favorite entry was "Turtles All the Way Down" and the least favorite was "Open Topic".
