100 Weeks
In the midst of the bad news of eliminations http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/451484.html, there is a bit of good news.
Historic good news.
Well, Idol history at any rate.
Now that she has officially survived Week 21,
imafarmgirl becomes the first contestant ever to reach 100 Weeks playing the game.
*round of applause*
When she first showed up in Season 3, there was a lot of speculation that she could actually win it. Real life ended up taking her out much too soon then, but she's kept coming back.
Back then, JAWS was just a movie about a shark!
When she started, she was "the blind writer"! It's amazing how much that one season changed Idol and a lot of people's perspectives.
These days, she's the pain in my butt... oh, I meant "extremely talented writer"!! I get those confused.
Anyone who has played Idol knows how tough it can be to have a decent season, and make it far, much less be able to do it with increasing competition! It's a remarkable accomplishment!
