In my series of "if this was Season ___, we would be ____". If this was "the infamous Season Four" we would be at the finals. Any other season, we would be finished.
For Season Five I made a promise before sign ups of a maximum time point. This meant that there were times when I couldn't be as flexible or accommodating to contestants as I normally would have liked. It also meant that we were rushed in spots to fit it into "reasonably close" to the original model. A promise is a promise after all.
I *do* have it planned out this season, but the structure has been a lot looser, allowing time to breathe and take in these last few weeks that we have together. (Heck, let's be honest - it also gives me time to continue to work on those "goodbyes", which I hadn't originally planned on doing this season!) This year I promised to let it play itself out. Given how unpredictable the season has been as a whole, and how tight the Top 15 are in the vote totals, I think these next few weeks are going to be interesting!
Life sure does look different on this end of the 30 than it did on the front end. At least for me.
How about you?
Speaking of that bygone time. I posted this in a thread yesterday, but thought other people might like to see it. It's the list of the contestants (as of yesterday pre-elimination) and what *original tribe* (the original tribes were selected by people who, if the Week 0 poll weren't just a "practice run", would have been eliminated) they were on:
What does it mean in the big scheme of things as to where you were originally placed and who selected you? Do any of those "old tribal bonds" still hold?
For anyone who missed it - the new topic(s) is up: http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/352536.html
Also, the results, where you can say goodbye to those eliminated (plus - "the reveal of the season": http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/352439.html
How are you doing today?
