Green Room - Week 19 - Day 8

The poll closes tonight: https://therealljidol.livejournal.com/1128279.html

So make sure your voice is heard!

I was asked the other day about my theories/predictions/hopes of how this season will play out.

I have a couple different theories at this point. One based on numbers and one based on gut instinct. The great thing is that ultimately, the only thing that is going to matter is how the voters decide this will play out! What I think, or even want, doesn't play into it!

Predictions - those are a little more difficult, since there are so many different factors at play. I have no actual official prediction about how this is going to play out.

Hopes? That is far easier. I hope that it's a great winner. I hope that it's someone who will continue to be a part of the Idol community for years to come, but also someone who will go out and truly be an Idol, making us proud with all of their accomplishments. (and of course continuing to promote the group and give back!)

I also hope that it will be a good, and compelling story to get there. Something worth people's attention - not just to the writing itself (which is always worthwhile), but "Wow! I'm really glad that (insert person's name here) won!"

I think there's 27 of those potential stories happening right now. I hope that whatever the best one ends up being is the one that comes out on top in the end!

Results - Week 19

We are losing two people tonight. I knew that coming into this.

But it never makes it any easier. Especially when the two are old friends.

It was really close, coming within a vote of a 4-way tie and 2 of being a 6-way!

Before we get to that though, there is some good news. What you didn't know is that the Jury started last week with the two who were eliminated. Which means that these two who are leaving tonight will join them in helping to steer the remainder of this season to it's conclusion.

For those who aren't familiar with the Idol Jury - every week they will award someone immunity, making them safe from the vote. You can only have immunity once. But it's a great thing to have. Not only does it mean you aren't leaving, it's a direct gift from those who, until recently, were competing against you. Everyone who leaves the competition from now until everyone left has received immunity will be a part of the Jury.

The very first immunity of Season 11 goes to furzicle. Congratulations!

I've stalled enough, which means that it's time to say goodbye. Or rather "welcome to the Jury". I prefer to say that.

So, welcome to the newest Jury members:

Thank you for being awesome this season, and in general.

Work Room - Week 20

Now I can officially say it - congratulations to the Top 25!

This is 1 person's story of victory, and everyone else are supporting characters. How are you going to stand out in the final narrative? (or it's a lot of smaller stories of personal growth and/or having fun, but I'm biased toward the 1 winner scenario. :D)

The new topic is up https://therealljidol.livejournal.com/1129620.html do you think you have what it takes to win? Or is it too soon to tell/reveal that to the rest of the competition? ;)
