Green Room - Week 6- Day 10

The poll closes tonight! https://therealljidol.livejournal.com/1082712.html

and, if it holds how it is right now, there is going to be an exciting post that I get to make tonight! One that I've been waiting to make for far too long.

***

I ran into an old friend of mine on the bus today. Actually, it was sitting at the bus stop. I was lost in thought/still mostly asleep so when he walked up and started talking to me it took a few seconds for it to register that he was talking *to me*, and a little longer than that about who he was!

People should only appear *in the correct context* of where you know them from. Or, if that can't happen, then they should at least have an adjacent appearance. Such as when we ran into our favorite server - at FEST. But we saw her when she was helping her friends out with their food stall. So she was still serving us food! So it was out of context, but it at least made sense! :)

If all of you people are going to be bit players in my life story (the universe, of course, centering around me!) then you are going to have to improve your place in the narrative structure!

Results - Week 6

It's a sad time. And yet, there is also some happiness as well.

That happiness will have to wait for another post though.

Because right now it's all about the sadness.

We are losing two huge figures in Idoldom. Which just continues to prove just how tough this season has been so far, and is gearing up to become.

From Tribe 1, there was a sacrifice, which prevented another sudden death write off from occurring. We are losing the always great kickthehobbit, throwing herself on the sword of real life.

From Tribe 2, the person we are losing is actually one of my personal favorite contestants. With a lot of folks, I have a pretty good idea of what is coming next. With him? It's never going to be dull, and always going to be worth my time reading. This week though, the bell it tolled for tijuanagringo.

Thank you both for coming out this season. I hope that we will continue to see you Home Game, and when the time comes - that you will be fighting your way back into the game via Second Chance!

100 Weeks

When she came into Season 6, she was a completely different person.

Not just a slightly different user name, but almost unrecognizable from who she is today.

In a lot of ways, she was someone who was "becoming". There was the raw talent, but also an eagerness to please everyone around her, instead of looking out for her own well-being. Over the course of that first season, that started to change. Her talent started shining more and her confidence seemed to build over the seasons.

From the period of Seasons 6-8, she was an Idol staple - and then she went off to forge her own path, to work professionally as not only a writer but an editor and publisher as well. I was extremely happy for, and proud of, her. But of course, I wished she would come back to Idol. (To paraphrase Bruce Banner That's my secret, I always wish they'd come back to Idoll. :D)

Life has it's challenges, and she continues to evolve, she continues to "become" - once again shedding the old life and starting a brand new adventure, this time across an ocean.

She left Idol to pursue that path just 6 weeks shy of becoming a member of the 100 Weeks Club. Had she remained, she would have been in contention for having one of the fastest paths to that mark of all time.

I'm glad that she decided to make Season 11 part of that journey, and that I am finally able to say

Congratulations pixiebelle and welcome to the 100 Weeks Club!

For Week 7's topic, you are at a several disadvantage.

I'm taking away all of your feck.

That's right, for this week's topic you are going to be completely:

feckless

The deadline to link your entries back to this thread is Monday, November 25th at 7pm EST.
