Green Room - Week 11 - Day 7

For you, it's the last day to get in your vote! http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/900783.html So, if you are a current contestant, make sure to send in your votes to clauderainsrm@gmail.com

For me, it's the next stage of dental work.

For the first time ever, I wish I was you! ;)

Unless of course, you have something worse than dental work on your plate today. In which case, I'm back to being glad that I'm not you!

(and as always - thanks for the pain you are putting me through! This mini-season contributed to the total of what I was able to put together to get this bridge. Stage two, that will be today, is prepping for the actual bridge to be put in!)

Also of significance, it's LEAP DAY! So Happy Leap Day! What are you doing to do with this "extra day" of the year?

Results - Week 11

Cleavage: the tendency of crystals, certain minerals, rocks, etc., to break in preferred directions so as to yield more or less smooth surfaces (cleavage planes)

That is what I am looking for when I am taking a look at the vote totals, that perfect place for them to break - to let me know who is in and who is out. That's what happens for contestants when they cast their votes during a Contestant Only vote like this, and it's what happens when I have to sit down and examine what instructions the group has given me and decipher it.

I promised that there would be at least 5 and less than 10. The sacrifice of inteus_mika introduced a bit of a wrinkle into where that line was going to be. For awhile, I thought that it was going to mean fewer people were going to leaving. But as the last few votes came in, it revealed that there were going to be more. (the sacrifice itself didn't have a huge impact on the result this time, it was more from a "watching things unfold")

Ultimately though, being "close" and "out" came down to a single vote.

In the end, that break ended up taking out 9 more - for a total of the maximum of 10.

There are some extremely talented people on this list, and I hope that we will see all of them competing for spots in the Second Chance Gauntlet to get back into the competition! http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/901587.html

For now though, it's goodbye and thank you for 11 weeks of awesome entries! I hope that you will come back via Second Chance, but if you are not able to do so, please stick around and Home Game!

Goodbye to

Topic - Week 12

It's time for the Week 12 topics.

For those just scanning these threads (or those who need a refresher), at the start of the competition everyone sent in a list of 3 potential topics. I take those lists and select one of them.

Then I put together several of them to give folks options during of what to write.

People only have to select one of them.

This week, those options are:

Just Don't Look
Verbal Vomit
Happy Place
Reptile dreams
Wanna to see what you're playing for?

The contestants have a certain amount of time to write those entries and link them back to this thread.

That deadline is Friday, March 4th at 8pm EST

Work Room - Week 12

We are winding down our time as "Friends" and heading toward the time of "Rivals".

But that hasn't *quite* hit yet - teams are still a thing until the Top 30. (and SCG will extend that time a little longer with people coming back into the fray)

That does mean though that any changes to your teams needs to be in to me by This Thursday at 9pm.

Also, remember that if your team has dropped below 3 members, that is it automatically dissolved for this week. It can reform the following week.

The one exception is if you end up picking up anyone from Second Chance. That falls into the grey area of the "the order of events" and that happens, you can maintain your status as a team this week!

For those of you who survived the great Contestant Only Purge - does that change your thinking at all about your chances to actually "win this thing", or answer any "what do people think of my work?" lingering doubts? (and of course for those who didn't survive - that just means that this week's entry might not have "hit", but you made it *really really* far into this! So hopefully your doubts are gone as well!)
