Green Room - Week 10 - Day 7

What makes your wiggle waggle and your snap go crackle and pop?

What brings you to your feet to stand up and cheer or dive down into the depths of you to not come out for awhile?

What makes you love what you love and hate what you hate and percolate and what you are percolating?

What jibs your jab?

What gets your vote? http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/417782.html

Everyone is different. Except clones, and no one likes clones.

Not even other clones.

They all have their own viewpoints and all of those viewpoints, according to them are completely and utterly the truth that the rest of the world has yet to acknowledge. But will one day, when they come to their senses.

All of those people are of course wrong!

It doesn't stop them from thinking something you love is overrated or not knowing why you don't like something they like and sure that means there is something wrong with you! ;)

The fun is finding things that you *can* agree on.

Like Second Chance Idol's deadline being later today (Tuesday): http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/417860.html
To be honest there isn't much room to "disagree" with that, other than to go after the whole concept of linear time.

Results - Week 10

A storm ripped through the area on my way home today, knocking over quite a bit in it's path.

A different kind of storm ripped through the ranks of LJ Idol over the last couple of days. The storm of "real life" and it's sidekick "real life commitments".

Obviously they are figments of our collective imaginations because everyone knows the only thing worth while is right in front of you on the internet. Why would anyone seek anything more than that???

*shrugs* I don't know. Seems crazy doesn't it?

But because of that, we actually ended up with four sacrifices!

In Tribe 1 we lost xogenesis, which means that we also lost Tribe 2's mirrorfortress.

In Tribe 4 it was edith_jones who took the hit for her tribe.

Tribe 3 was a little more complex.

The player behind the first two alts had a "give immunity to someone else" token. Her final act before going was to give it to "whoever was the lowest in Tribe 3", to give them another chance next week.

Which means the second to last contestant would be leaving instead. Which was a tie.

Normally this would mean a tie-breaker round, but witchdollie decided to drop, in the poll thread, making it a clean sweep of sacrifices.

Goodbye to all of you. You will be missed in the polls, but hopefully not around here!

I'm sure there are some people breathing a little easier right now, thanks to you. I do hope though that this so-called "real life" thing will die down soon. I'm hoping it's just a fad!

Vote - Second Chance Idol - Week 3

A few words from clauderainsrm:

Especially after some veteran sacrifices, it's easy to forget, at times, that there are still people fighting to get into the main competition!

Hopefully this will refresh your memory!

Unfortunately two people didn't make it to the start line this week, so we are saying goodbye to ____hejira and raynbo0701. I hope everything is OK with both of you!

It's another week of Second Chance Idol and the stakes continue to climb.

This week the top four will be given the opportunity to rejoin the game, and the bottom four will be eliminated.

Thank you to rattsu for her topic from last season, "these trails I've walked"!

The poll will close Saturday Jan 29th at 3pm EST. There are a lot of fantastic entries. I hope everyone takes the chance to read, comment and vote!

Good luck to everyone!

Topic - Week 11

Another week.

Which means it's time for another topic!

What sort is it going to be? Something specific or vague? Something familiar or will it require a little more thought?

How about
Haute ?

Maybe a little of all of those. :)

The deadline to link your entries back here is Saturday Jan 29th at 4pm EST

Have fun!

Work Room - Week 11

There's a new topic in town: http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/419287.html

What's going through your head?

I was going to have a longer Work Room this time and get into it, but really, I think you guys handle things far better without me asking the probing questions.

What is going through your head? How do you get from Point A to Point B in your writing? What simple mistakes do you see other people making that you know that if they could just reign in, that their work would greatly improve?

These are starting points of conversations, not the scope of them.

Where you take them, and the topics, are up to you.
