Second Chance Idol Sign Up Sheet

Did you miss the original deadline to sign up?

Did you get eliminated before "your time"?

Do you just want a new start?

That is what Second Chance Idol is about!

No byes and faster schedule, we go until everyone is either in the regular game or eliminated!

Your first task is to write your

Re-Introduction and post a link to it in this thread.
(links only please, everything else can go to the Green Room

Good luck! And welcome to your second chance!

(NOTE: As per Idol policy, if you are using an account other than your primary account to write, I need to know about it. Please contact me at clauderainsrm@gmail.com to disclose alternate journals. Thanks!)

The deadline for sign up is Sat Jan 8th at 5pm EST (note new extended deadline)

Green Room - Week 8 - Day 1

Welcome back!!

The new topic will be posted a little later today, as well as more of the special powers assignments and the Second Chance Sign up sheet just went up: http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/408328.html so make sure to tell people you know who went out early or who have been hanging out on the edges this season saying "Maybe next time". Next time is now!!! :)

Hopefully everyone had a nice break and is ready to jump back into both the game, and real life - which seems to be starting back up for everyone as well. I'm not sure what this "work" thing is, what do you mean we aren't going to be stopping work to have a mini-party every other day? ;)

Topic - Week 8

You've had a few weeks off for the "holiday" season. Now it's back to the grindstone with writing entries, voting, and all the associated "fun".

It's going to be an adjustment, trying to get back into the swing of things.

I'm sure you can beat your

First World Problem

If you can't, well, then you can at least write an entry about it! :D

The deadline to have your entries linked back here is Saturday Jan 8th at 4pm EST
Have fun!

Work Room - Week 8

Everyone has them and they come in all variety of forms.

They keep you from getting into a routine and shift your attention away from doing what needs doing. After all - often enough those "distractions" might be the thing that needs doing!

You always hear though, that if you want to write - you need to write no matter what. You need to focus and find the time to do it. Even though there might be various life issues (or in the case of Idol, special powers) trying their best to shift your attention.

What are your tips for keeping that focus? What works for you? What have you found doesn't? (I'm sure there have been plenty of experiments that haven't worked out all that well in the past! ;) )

How do you manage to make the process "fun"? Is that something you consider to be important, or is the suffering part of your craft? :P
