Time to say goodbye to people we have grown quite attached to over the course of the last few months.
The three this week are:
suesniffsglue: Everyone has one of those people who they go to for cool new stuff. Some times it's for music, or books, or really just about anything. When it comes to books, the person I trust the most is my friend Richard. You might know him better as mezzominty. There's a reason that I bring him up. Because after being eliminated, yet again, he's been following along with Idol - and every once in awhile we talk about what's going on. Since the beginning, he's had a *favorite*. Week in, week out he's been saying what an incredible writer she is and how he hoped that she would win. That writer is suesniffsglue. I thought she had a lot of promise, and I think she's gotten better as the season has gone on... and I really wish people had gotten out and supported her more than they have. Of course that would mean that someone else would be going, but come on, it's suesniffsglue! *sigh* Anyway, I thought she had promise - but Richard convinced me and got me to sign on as an actual fan.
kathrynrose: The first player to ever come in from the Home Game. Which means even I had no idea how well she would do. Maybe she'd be out in a week. Maybe two... um... maybe three... wait... the hell of it is she just kept getting better. She kept being outgoing and positive, and her writing *just kept getting better*. Do you have any idea how satisfying that is for me to watch? I live for stuff like that! Yeah, sure, sure, I'm sure other people enjoyed it too. But since I'm writing this I get to say that I enjoyed it more!*g* Talented writer, wonderful person.
lilmissmagic71: See above.
heh... ok... Maybe I should say a little more than that. After all, she was in it from the very start. But I'll be completely honest - she wasn't on my radar the first couple of weeks. I read her stuff and I liked it, but, hmmm... I don't really know. It took a couple weeks, for me, to have something that really just "kicked in" for me. But once it did, it did. I had thought she seemed really nice before that, but the more I read from her, the more I liked. It was one surprise after another - and now, it's another surprise, only not a good one. At this point there rarely is a good surprise...just saying goodbye to one more favorite after another...
I have a quite a bit that I want to say about them, so I'll come back and edit this later. For right now though, all I can say is that this was a VERY close one, and thank you for outstanding runs. You will be missed in the competition, but I certainly hope not in the Green Room.
