A few words from Gary:
Idol isn’t just a competition. It’s a community.
Or at least that’s the hope, that every season a new group of people (or combinations of old and new folks) will come together and form their own version of that community.
Every week we get together and we build a barn. Except that it’s less of a barn and more of a gallows.
Perhaps the gallows are inside a barn. Let’s pretend that’s the case. Isn’t that a nicer picture?
We build those gallows because at the end of the competition, there is only one person who is going to win - who will be the LJ Idol of Season 11.
This week we get one step closer to finding out who that will be - but before we get to that, there was a drop:
We are losingryl from the competition. Fortunately, this means they can move to Second Chance as of Week 3. So hopefully time will improve between now and the next deadline. But in case this is actually a goodbye, thank you for much for coming out this season!
With that said, I can now turn my attention to the rest of you.
If you notice, this and Second Chance are in one post. Why? Because I felt like messing with you in that particular manner.

Second Chance
A few words from Gary:
Second Chance is of course where the real competition is - nevermind those people in the “real” competition! Here is where the nitty gritty survival aspect is happening! Just don’t let them hear you say that though, they might get jealous. You know how those “main competition” folks are!
