It was a worthwhile experiment, but I'm glad you're going back.

*nods* Yeah, Livejournal is home.

I did promise that I would do another mini season at DW (for those unwilling to come to LJ) but this is our base.

(Unless we eventually find a third option to bring everyone together)

Cool, and I am near finished with my room and am doing a little bit of writing stuff here and there.
I might actually be able to join in.

Random idea i had the other day (since you know I drive around thinking about LJ Idol) ... week by week you change the variables a bit to change the challenge, and you'l sometimes had particularly short windows to write in, but you don't really (if ever?) ever give a particularly long (like two weeks instead of the usual 5 days) window to write in. While such a thing might SEEM like merely giving the writers a break, I think it would turn up the pressure the same way open topic actually increases the pressure. Having more time to write on a topic means the bar is being set higher for everyone since everyone else has more time to think up the perfect idea and revise, revise. (:

TBH the original boycott of LJ based on how Russia treats LGBT people is a bit moot seeing how the US is heading in the same direction these days, it doesn't make much sense to continue the boycott based on those ideals at this point.
