Green Room - Week 24 - Day 7

It's deadline day! http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/1030779.html and I still see a lot of names that need to show up!

So hopefully they will.

Who doesn't want the fun of me putting together a poll while on hydrocodone??? It's fun!

Game of Thrones reactions? Doctor Who reactions?

Reactions to the Doctor being killed on last night's Game of Thrones and regenerating into a White Walker? First White Walker Doctor!!

Ha! You sound like my husband - whenever someone is having a spoilery conversation he adds in "I know - can you believe that Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter got together in the end? So unexpected!"

I wrote a draft for one entry before going camping with the niece and nephew this weekend, and the other after midnight last night. I need some time to revise before posting; I'm a little worried the one from last night won't be entirely in a human language since that's way past my bedtime.

in re: camping we haven't watched GoT yet. Hopefully we'll get to it later this week. On the plus side, I'm being much more efficient at work today since I can't look at about half of the internet.

GoT Spoiler Free!
Not all of us had time to watch last night, so this comment is spoiler free. :)

I was just contemplating this season of Idol. It has coincided with my pregnancy very, very closely. I'm due in 8 weeks! <3

I also wanted to thank everyone for all the support. I am aware that I seem to have decided that LJI is my personal support group and I keep putting all my shit out there for thoughts and consumption.

I have been humbled so many times by the sweet, supportive and thoughtful responses to me dealing with pregnancy, my dad's illness, and general life.

I know I'm outnumbered in the fiction v. non-fiction arena this year (and that's okay). I have truly enjoyed reading and participating and I think it has done me a tremendous amount of good - not just as a writer, but as a person struggling through the day to day.

Thank you all. So much.

I'm in this until the end, however that comes, but it's going to be a roller coaster! I've got a million things to do for the baby and a million things to do for my dad. I'll be here processing all of that in my journal for the duration either way.

Much love and mad respect to this particular group of Idolators. <3

I liked GoT a lot. They did a good job of setting up the next season while still showing some action. I'm really excited about this season, though disappointed that we only get 7 episodes.

Enjoyed GoT! But more importantly I posted my Home Game link on yesterday's Green Room. ;-) I told you I would haunt ya!

Wish I knew what this GOT fever was all about....but it is fun to watch folks run around tearing their hair out.

I have got my second entry incubating...ageing...whathaveyou. But hope to post in a few hours. That one was like pulling teeth, but I finally got hold of it and yanked. Ooops, sorry, G.

I would like to give a special shout out to two past Idolars who aren't playing this season but who have been wonderful readers/commenters for so many of the current competitors:

I'd like to think the patriarchy has had their say about the XIIIth Doctor, but it feels like it's just getting started, tbh.

I mean, really, the fact that it was going to be a woman was one of the worst kept secrets of any television programme. It will be telling to see how the crowds at San Diego Comic-Con act/react this week and/or if there'll be a panel with the new Doctor and the new showrunner.

I won't talk GoT for the sake of spoilers. But I will say this: make sure you've had your dinner before you watch, and that you're not dining DURING the episode.
