Topic - Week 17

There are Idol traditions that stretch out over a decade. There are some that haven't been around *that* long, but have still managed to get some history behind them.

They are the things that veterans are on the look out for, and they know how to navigate. Or at least have some theories about what to do.

Then there is the twist this week.

This is BRAND NEW. You have a front row seat to it.

It's called the Blind Box.

You put your hand in, and pull out a topic.

Since this is the internet, and you can't literally do that - you are going to be sending me an email to clauderainsrm@gmail.com

There are 4 topic choices.

When you email me, I will assign them in the order the emails have been received. (The 1st person gets topic 1, the 2nd topic 2, 3 gets topic 3, 4 gets topic 4, the 5th person gets topic 1 and so on until everyone has been assigned a topic. If someone uses a bye, that will count for that spot and we skip over it and fill the next number.

You will have until Sunday, May 7th at 7pm EDT to link your entry to this thread. Which means the sooner you have your topic, the sooner you can get started trying to figure out what you are going to do with it!

Have fun!

Inspiration struck, and I ran with it. I encourage reading the footnote with this, once again, a quick read.

It's weird to double up on memoir, but opening up might be best:

You gave the Southern girl the topic "Surrender Under Protest?" How could I not?
