Green Room - Week 15 - Day 4

Technically it's Day 3 *and* 4 since it exists in that twilight between the two days. But I figured since no one is going to comment anyway, it can exist wherever it wants. :)

The topic is due tonight (Tuesday) http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/1004469.html

So I hope the reason people have been quiet is that they have been hard at work. I know that *I* have been.

Did you have a nice Easter? What did the Bunny get you? Did he give you any of my Peeps? If so, please send them my way. I need more of them.

When I wrote that, did I go over to the Just Born website and realize that I could actually order them *by the case*? Um. no. That wasn't me. You are projecting.

I would say that everyone in Idol should get together and do an escape room. (because I'm kind of obsessed about the idea right now) Except you are already in one - and there is no way out of it! :)

I spent the evening of Easter playing Terraforming Mars, so that was fun. And my co-players didn't hate it (yay!), so hopefully I'll get to play again soon.

We had a wonderful Passover, and Days of Unleavened Bread. Wrapped it up today. I have been zombified, in order to make it to all the services, but it was worth it. Tomorrow, Tuesday, I will be writing and doing dishes.

Home Game Entry - http://quiltingdragon.livejournal.com/262368.html

Since my parents got sick, I became the bunny for the family. I got myself a movie, some candy (which I raided when I unexpectedly got a handmade Easter present from my favorite 7 year old) and a new hairbrush. Nothing really exciting. Went to Easter brunch at my brother's inlaws to be.

We went to my SIL's, as per tradition. My poor MIL -- now that the younger set of grandkids are of middle/high school age, she's kind of at loose ends as far as "what am I supposed to do now?" is concerned. My SIL/BIL (actually all 5 of them) kind of "get out of Dodge" as soon as their kids are old enough. It's almost like escaping. I have a theory about this re my MIL but that's a whole other story.

But yes, in a nutshell, I had a very nice Easter because I DIDN'T HAVE TO WORK!!!!

We had a very non-Easter but quiet weekend. It was lovely, if not particularly celebratory.

I finished the puzzle and found the item in the room that doesn't match the picture but the door still won't open! Graahhhghh...

Busy weekend w family and no down time to write. I did however mull over thoughts in my head for topics. I'm overwhelmed with ideas.
I bought myself a nice shirt instead of candy this year. We celebrated on Saturday w kids. Had a salmon and latkes, deviled eggs, green beans and cranberry sauce. Very yummy!

My mother and I had some friends over for fish tacos and a bonfire. It was lovely.

I'm up for doing an escape room with those who are interested. I did one a few months ago and it was tons of fun. :)

We took the kids to a Braves game at the new SunTrust Stadium on Easter. Very fun!

Then I came home Sunday and ate something bad out of the fridge and have had food poisoning for two days. Very miserable!

The good thing was that today, when I'm home from work sick, but just feeling weak and shaky, I could write my entry!

Oh no! I'm going to be very, very careful because this appears to be a theme on Idol this season. I hope you feel better now.

Easter was fairly quiet, because my husband and Teen Son were off on a college "get to know us!" visit.

I got their Easter basket offerings together, and then buckled down and finished the taxes. Those education reimbursement funds offer a great way to save, but the paperwork is, "What?" I spent the last couple of weekends straightening that out for the two years our daughter has been in college.

I had hoped to call my family, but as is usual now, when my sister is hosting family functions, NOBODY answers the phone. When it was at my parents' house, my dad would jump on the phone. He always knew an absent family member was hoping to talk to everyone else...
