Green Room - Week 15 - Day 7

WARNING. DO NOT CLICK THIS IF YOU ARE EASILY TRIGGERED:

trigger-alive2

That's right - it's a Trigger warning about a picture of Trigger!

It would have been better if I could have warned you about a picture of Trigger about to pull the trigger and shoot someone!

They really need to have "Tigger warnings" - that guy bounces all over the place. Who knows who he could knock into!!

There's no warning that can save you from the trauma involved in *this* link though: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/912394.html It's the poll that is ending tonight. So make sure to get out there and vote for your favorites!

***

How was your Easter weekday? Did you help any hippies who had gotten stuck in a cave?

RE: NOOOO!!!! WHY DID YOU DO THAT?????
Wait if you got the first, whose job is it to write "you're dead to me? " it feels like the world has turned upside down!

Let's be clear about this:
I wasn't "first". I was "frist". There is a difference.

Now, I created the "frist" meme. I declare people "dead to me" when they use my meme without my explicit permission.

Now, I admit there was a period when I denied myself permission to use the "frist" meme, and so I then declared myself "dead to me" whenever I used the "frist" meme. But after a long argument and some extended negotiations, I eventually gave myself explicit permission to use the "frist" meme a couple of years ago -- I got the document notarized to make sure there would be absolutely no question about the matter. So at least this week, I am not "dead to me".

That all being said, my team was trailing in the poll when I last checked, and I was personally trailing in the poll among my team mates... so unless my team mates and I received a surge of votes in the last few hours, it looks like I'm DEAD TO EVERYBODY!!!

are you happy now? well, are you?

Re: Let's be clear about this:
I'd be happier if you were still in the game. Sigh. You're still alive to me.

Well, with an introduction like THAT, I think we should explore the idea of trigger warnings. For realsies.

Anyone can vote. You don't have to be a contestant. You don't have to have ever been a contestant.

The more people who know about Idol voting - and who come out to vote, the better!

The wonderful thing about tiggers -
A tigger's a wonderful thing.
Its top is made out of rubber.
Its bottom is made out of spring.

One other question about voting:
Must voters "register" with the therealljidol community, or do they just need to have an account on LiveJournal?

(I have one co-worker who says that they tried to vote for my stories but keeps getting an error message. They don't have an account on LJ, though... but if they need to register with the community it's better if they know that up front.)

RE: One other question about voting:
You don't have to join the community. You don't even have to have a LJ account. LJ allows fb,Google, and other open id accounts to participate.

RE: One other question about voting:
Just make sure people understand that they are not allowed to cast more than one vote (regardless of how many ways there are to cast a single one)

Re: One other question about voting:
Will do... although it looks like I'm going to get eliminated this week, and I'm not sure my friend will be interested in voting if I'm gone...

Do they not enjoy reading interesting things by talented writers? :D

On my way to Puerto Rico, the shuttle driver from the airport parking lot to the airport terminal told me a joke.

"Why doesn't Tigger have any friends?"

----

.....

?????

"Because he's always playing with poo."

Which, weirdly, I don't know if I should use Pooh or poo when writing it out to make it more... obvious.

Or it could be because Tigger's kind of manic and annoying. ;)

Moreso in the Pooh movies, though, I think. Less so in the books. Though I can't conjure up a mental picture of the book Tigger at all-- my mind goes right to the animal/stuffed-toy versions of Hobbes instead. :O

Huh, weird. I never thought of that - I tend to think of the stuffed version of Hobbes myself. I never realized that's what I was imagining.

Haha-- yes, my first thought yesterday was, "Oh, I know what book-Tigger looks like." And then, "No, that's the stuffed-animal version of Hobbes." :O

And then I find myself very seriously googling images of both tigers to compare side by side.

Original Tigger seems rather adorable, actually, This is him because I forgot how to embed.

But still sort of bland so I might just continue thinking he's Hobbes.

He's kind of half-way between stuffed animal and real, with a not-very-tiger-shaped head, either way. Maybe that's why I can't remember what he looks like?

Disney Eeyore kind of looks like a hippo with long ears, and the original Piglet makes me think of an armadillo more than a pig. Pooh, at least, is bearlike in all contexts!

I've thought of the piglet/armadillo thing myself! Pooh is the most similar, and that's good, because he's Pooh and I want him to be himself very real-ly.
