My child has an ear infection again. It sucks. Again. Stupid daycare. I sound like a broken record.

Today is a very exciting day: grocery shopping at Whole Foods with my toddler. Wish me luck!

For some reason, LJ won't let me log in with my account on my Droid, so I had to log in VIA Facebook. Don't know if I'll get any notifications of replies to this comment. Someone want to post one so we can test it?

Ugh, I feel like the walking dead. Could barely sleep last night due to horrible snoring (not mine). Slept fitfully from 1-6am, finally gave in and got up around 6:30. Have been alternately reading the last few Idol entries I have left and playing around on Castleville all morning. I've got just two entries to go, then I'll vote and I'll be DONE. W00t!

Also, in shocking news for those who read my piece about Edie - my friend Lenore texted me yesterday, to let me know that her father (ie: Edie's husband, age 94) passed away peacefully yesterday morning, just a little over a week after his wife. That's true love for you... *sigh*

We got home (for those following the saga)
I have about two feet of snow to shovel off the front walk but right now watching Smash with cats as foot warmers

Finally finished reading and voting. I, too, am resembling the walking dead; came up with a cold last night. It's not horrible (so far), but it probably will be, because, naturally, I have a ton of things going on this week! *sigh*

Still behind on reading, worried I might get even behind-er. This week's freaking me out, I won't lie.

I got the plague from one of my 9th graders and just feel like all sorts of hell. I am therefore shamefully behind on reading and commenting and everything else. Gonna try to get the reading and voting done tonight, though I may continue to suck great big donkey balls at commenting this week. Alas, one of my goals this season was to not suck great big donkey balls at commenting. Damn plague.

Just got up from taking a much needed nap with my little one. Still sick and out of it. Hoping to do some more reading after little one goes to sleep tonight.

It's beautiful outside with all the snow.

I think I'm going to have a bowl of soup and hope that some of my brain fog will wear off.

The sun is bright today reflected on all the snow banks from Nemo. My quilting buddy and I went down Route I to pick up the next block for a sampler quilt we are making. The drive was beautiful but we needed sunglasses! We had an excellent seafood lunch,clams, scallops haddock on the way home. I'm a happy camper at the moment. Have about 11 more entries to read and comment on then I can vote. Yay!!!!

It's been a weird week. My internship placement's office was closed so I didn't drive down (I got almost there Friday, got word it was closed, and drove back and then didn't go yesterday). Kids had a snow day and got REALLY stir-crazy.

And then last night, ravenshrinkery and I ended up in a long game of Cards Against Humanity in a group that included the pastor of our church. Best laugh I've had in a very long time!

Though something else that was a good laugh and would love to see more love for was vaudy's entry. :)

Car still not unearthed. A neighbor suggested I shelve it until after the rain tomorrow, which makes sense. Um...it's supposed to rain tomorrow???

Instead I went up the street for Chinese takeout. It took me over an hour to walk up/back, and this is a walk that's maybe 15 minutes tops? The streets are horrible. Everybody was either fishtailing or going 10 mph on the main road. There was a 45 minute wait at the takeout place because the next town over still doesn't have power.

I'd offer an egg roll, but I'm starving!

This day has been long awaited in this house hold.
I think my youngest has been looking forward to today more then she was yesterday.
I did her cake. While it was a *gasp* mix I decorated it with fodount. A black base with hot pink and neon purple hearts. It had hello Kitty stuff on top.
Let me note that when one has muscle pain and weakness from the flu rolling out that clay like substitute for frosting is not that easy.
