With a talented group like this, it was only a matter of which bounce was going to be the last to determine who was going to be leaving and who was staying.
Before I get into that though, I have some good news. People following
the_day_setup already know this, but for those who don't - he made the decision to use the "Back in the Game" token.

Unfortunately, as we gain one, we lose two people who have definitely made an impression on this season. One newbie. One veteran.

I know you're having a crap day and this isn't necessarily going to make it any better, but I'm going to celebrate your win for you *dances*
I knew my turn to go was coming up, and this seems like as good a week as any. I'm ok with it. My goal was to make the top 50, which I did. I wanted to stay in until it was "my time" (oh hush, Gary- everyone knows what I mean!) to get voted out, because the past three years I've quit on my own. Lastly, I did something I've never ever done before - and couldn't no matter how hard I tried - which is I wrote fiction. So it's cool.
Best of all, I made new friends and as usual had a blast - which was kind of the point, right? So hey, I win!!
(And how have I not friended you yet? Fixing that now.)
I'm glad you stayed in this time instead of quitting. Go you!

The crap day
Umm, yeah. We're both kind of lost and dazed. I don't think Ember's quite grasped it yet, but then again it took her a couple of days before she realized Missy Dog wasn't coming back, and then she went nuts for about a week looking for her. I suspect she'll be looking for Jack too.

Thank you to everyone who supported me and voted for me during this competition. I enjoyed myself thoroughly, and am proud for lasting as long as I did (even though I wanted to WIN, dammit! ;-P).
I'm not going to lie - I probably won't home game unless a topic REALLY speaks to me, but I will hang out in the GR and read entries and vote as much as possible. Don't know if they're used this late in the game, but if you need some gatekeepers, Gary, I'm here for you!
